Basketball Recap: Grace Lutheran Takes a Loss

Grace Lutheran lost against Leadore back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Grace Lutheran Royals received a blow as they fell 42-23 to the Leadore Mustangs.

Leadore was led to victory by Kaylee Kesl and Katie Mackay. Kesl went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points and five steals, while Mackay posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Kesl is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Azelynn Jones, who put up three points along with five boards and four blocks.

Grace Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Leadore, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Grace Lutheran has already played their next match (against American Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Leadore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-10 win against Watersprings on the 18th.
