Volleyball Recap: Cheyenne Comes Up Short

Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Desert Shields of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Cheyenne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Cheyenne has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Durango on the 5th. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Eldorado on the 5th.
