Montezuma-Cortez benefitted from Krupa in 12-3 win
While Saturday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Michael Krupa. He was dynamite on Saturday, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Krupa's strong effort led Montezuma-Cortez over Pagosa Springs and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Montezuma-Cortez is 7-2 against Pagosa Springs going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
