Softball Recap: General McLane Lancers vs. Union City Bears
General McLane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to the Union City Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to General McLane of the 11-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Annabella Dibble made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.
On Union City's side, Marie Troyer was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Cathryn Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
