Recap: Stayton Eagles vs. Gladstone Gladiators
The third road game was the charm for the Stayton Eagles, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 40-30 win over Gladstone on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stayton also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Kaden Holm, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Whieldon, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Stayton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Gladstone, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Stayton will take on The Dalles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dalles is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Gladstone, they will head out on the road to face off against Cascade at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
