Football Game Preview: Delta Eagles vs. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights

Two dominant backs in Aven Thomas and Terrance Epperson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Delta Eagles will welcome the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Delta is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against New Palestine on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles were outmatched by the Dragons and fell 56-7. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers lost 35-10 to Carroll on Friday. Despite 120 more yards than the Chargers, the Knights couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Even if they lost, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Carroll's QB won't forget Ayle Taylor anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Taylor is becoming a predictor of Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' success: when he posts at least two sacks the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
