Baseball Recap: Buchanan Takes a Loss

Buchanan blew Coloma out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Coloma got their revenge. The Bucks fell just short of the Comets by a score of 3-1. The Bucks just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Ethan Frame was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit.

At the plate, Buchanan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ari Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with one double. That double marked the first that Johnson has hit this season. Another was Holden Carrington, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Buchanan now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Coloma, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Buchanan beat the Comets by a score of 6-2 later that day.
