Los Gatos dropped their record down to 12-7-1 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Saint Francis Lancers, falling 12-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wildcats, who until this contest were averaging 2.25 runs allowed.

As for Saint Francis, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games.

For Saint Francis' part, Maya Yumiba was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Yumiba has posted since April 3rd. Another player making a difference was Malianna Liongitau, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Los Gatos has already played their next game, an 8-3 victory against Milpitas on the 28th. As for Saint Francis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-2 win against Valley Christian on the 30th.
