Softball Recap: New Haven Rockets vs. Port Huron Northern Huskies
New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Port Huron Northern Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on April 3rd.
New Haven saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jerikah Bowman Class 2026, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.
New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Port Huron Northern, they pushed their record up to 6-1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Looking ahead, New Haven will head out to challenge Marine City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mariners will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Port Huron Northern, they will host L'Anse Creuse at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
