Ben Finnegan and Kelton Chapman provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Cascade. The longest such play in 4A Oregon West this season, the connection resulted in 78 yards.

The Cougars made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,811 from 6,258. The improvement was the result of 49-32 victory over Central last week.

Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Finnegan has thrown for 1004 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Chapman has 15 catches for 380 yards. Tell Cruickshank leads the league in rushing with 375 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Philomath takes on Newport. The Warriors are currently in first, while the Cubs are in third.

Cascade led 4A Oregon West in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Panthers.
