Baseball Game Preview: Aletheia Christian Academy Lions vs. Atmore Christian Rams

Aletheia Christian Academy has gone a perfect 6-0 against Atmore Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will face off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Aletheia Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Aletheia Christian Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Pensacola Christian Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aletheia Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Carlson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4.

Meanwhile, Atmore Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-7 to Pensacola Christian Academy.

Atmore Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-7-1.

Aletheia Christian Academy took their victory against Atmore Christian in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 13-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
