Softball Recap: Steelville Comes Up Short

Steelville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-2 to the Dixon Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on Thursday.

Steelville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bre Kelley, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Steelville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Dixon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Steelville will square off against Bourbon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The War Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. Dixon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
