Volleyball Recap: Allie Williams Key Part of Team Effort in Trojans Win

Harnett Central won the last time they faced Western Harnett and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-12, 25-18.

Harnett Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allie Williams, who had 11 digs and four aces. Williams is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 35 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kailey Ellis, who had 15 assists and four digs.

They weren't the only good server: Harnett Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive games.

Harnett Central's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Western Harnett, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harnett Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Union Pines at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Western Harnett will face off against rival Lee County at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
