Baseball Recap: Romulus Takes a Loss

Romulus fell victim to Melvindale and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-0 to the Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Romulus' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Melvindale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Melvindale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against Summit Academy on the 14th. Hopefully Romulus paid attention to the Cardinals' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
