Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Saints vs. The Pinnacle Timberwolves

Jefferson and The Pinnacle are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Jefferson Saints will host The Pinnacle Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 7.

Jefferson played against Platte Canyon and lost via forfeit.

The Pinnacle is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Lupton just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They were dealt a 74-33 loss at the hands of the Bluedevils. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Timberwolves have suffered since February 8, 2024.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for The Pinnacle, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Jefferson came up short against The Pinnacle when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 56-47. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
