Flag Football Recap: Calexico Bulldogs vs. Brawley Wildcats
Calexico was the 13-12 winner over Brawley when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 13-7 to the Wildcats on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Wildcats are ranked 251st).

Calexico didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Anabel Gonzalez. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.
Calexico's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3. As for Brawley, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10-1.
