Volleyball Recap: Veterans Memorial's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Veterans Memorial came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Ingram Moore Warriors. The Patriots were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Patriots were just returning the favor.

The victory didn't come easy: Ingram Moore scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18.

Peyton Simpson paced Veterans Memorial's offense, picking up 12 kills. Simpson got some help from Aryanah LaBoone and her 13 assists. Simpson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Veterans Memorial's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Ingram Moore, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Veterans Memorial will welcome Boerne-Champion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ingram Moore, they will venture away from home to face off against D'Hanis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
