Basketball Game Preview: Claymont Mustangs vs. Ridgewood Generals

The Claymont Mustangs and the Ridgewood Generals will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Monday, Claymont didn't have quite enough to beat Sandy Valley and fell 53-50. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Ridgewood suffered their biggest defeat since January 31, 2024 on Monday. They took a blow against Tuscarawas Valley, falling 54-13. The game marked the Generals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ridgewood's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Claymont, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Claymont might still be hurting after the 61-35 loss they got from Ridgewood when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Claymont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
