With a playoff win on the line, Meridian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Brentsville District Tigers as they made off with a 5-0 win. Meridian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by five goals or more this season.

They hit Brentsville District with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Fletcher Saaty (2), Henry Brown (2), and Quinn Drennan.

Meridian pushed their record up to 13-2-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those seven contests. As for Brentsville District, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7-1.

Coming up, Meridian will be playing at home against William Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. William Monroe will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Meridian surely won't give up without a fight. Brentsville District does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
