Baseball Recap: Highline Pirates vs. Inglemoor Vikings
Highline had lost five straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-11 to make it six. They lost 11-0 to the Inglemoor Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Friday.
As for Inglemoor, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games.
For Inglemoor's part, Graysen Holes looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Holes a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aiden Tsu, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Brendan Zeller also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
