The Sonoma Academy Coyotes are taking a road trip to challenge the Saint Mary's Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sonoma Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Sonoma Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Summerfield Waldorf. Ten seems to be a good number for the Coyotes as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Victor Jennings made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Sonoma Academy got a big performance out of Noah Proctor, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The Coyotes are undefeated when Proctor posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Madden Pelkey, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saint Mary's). They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over Credo on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Saint Mary's let Damien Nolan and Logan Donoviel run wild. Nolan went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Donoviel got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI were Donoviel's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Nitsan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Saint Mary's kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.
Sonoma Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Saint Mary's, their record is now 9-17.
