St. John's Catholic Prep piles up the points against Concordia Prep

The St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 27 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 62-35 win over Concordia Prep on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. John's Catholic Prep.

St. John's Catholic Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cayenne Pigeon out in front who scored 23 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Pigeon has scored at least 25% of St. John's Catholic Prep's points. Nadia Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.

St. John's Catholic Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Concordia Prep, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-7 record last season and are now at 3-7.

St. John's Catholic Prep will be home for the holidays to greet St. Andrew's Episcopal at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Andrew's Episcopal presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. John's Catholic Prep in Maryland (St. Andrew's Episcopal is ranked 18th, while St. John's Catholic Prep is ranked 95th). Concordia Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Annapolis at 12:30 p.m. on December 29th.
