Baseball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-9. They came up short against the General McLane Lancers, falling 7-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Dragons were not able to get on the board.

As for General McLane, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4-1. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

For General McLane's part, Ben Swanson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Swanson has posted since April 8th. Charlie Salvo was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Looking ahead, Warren will head out to challenge McDowell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for General McLane, they will welcome Fort LeBoeuf at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
