Football Recap: Passaic Sets Scoring Season-High Against Montclair

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Passaic). Their defense stepped up to hand the Montclair Mounties a 26-0 shutout on Friday. The Indians not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2024 (when they won 27-0).

A big part of Passaic's victory came down to the chemistry between Jessaiah Reynoso and her top target Griselis Perez. Reynoso gained 159 total yards while Perez picked up 65 receiving yards and three scores. What's more, Reynoso racked up 75 passing yards, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

Passaic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brianna Caro, Perez, Ashley Marquez, and Zariah Townsend picked up one apiece.

Passaic's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5-1.

Passaic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montclair, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
