Basketball Recap: Cabrillo Takes a Loss

Cabrillo suffered their biggest loss since December 17, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against the Newbury Park Panthers, falling 72-40.

Cabrillo now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Newbury Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cabrillo will take on Dos Pueblos at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newbury Park, they will face off against Mira Costa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
