Football Game Preview: Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers vs. Greer Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

Blue Ridge is 0-8 against Greer since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Fighting Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Blue Ridge has given up an average of 35.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Blue Ridge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 63 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Seneca on Friday. They were outmatched by the Bobcats and fell 47-13. The contest marked the Fighting Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by Gavin Forrester, who rushed for 106 yards and one score on only 12 carries, and also threw for 167 yards on 17 of 24 attempts. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greer). They really took it to Pickens for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-14 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Yellow Jackets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Greer's win came from a few key players Blue Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dawson Fowler, who rushed for 77 yards on only five carries, and also threw for 92 yards and one touchdown. Calvin McCoy was another key player, rushing for 100 yards on only 12 carries.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Greer, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
