Palmyra put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Red Land Patriots get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The one-run effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Blake Deiter looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tyler Peck was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Palmyra pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Red Land, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Palmyra will take on rival Hershey at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 1.9, the Trojans 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Red Land is set to face off against their familiar foe Lower Dauphin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
