Softball Recap: Fallbrook Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Fallbrook came into Wednesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Lincoln Hornets 26-10 on Wednesday.

Fallbrook let Gizalle Amezquita and Gia Vitale run wild. Amezquita went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one double, while Vitale went a perfect 5-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave Vitale a new career-high. Olivia Castillo was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

The win got Fallbrook back to even at 1-1. As for Lincoln, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fallbrook will take on Sweetwater at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will square off against San Ysidro at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
