Basketball Recap: Make It 20 in a Row for Lingle-Fort Laramie

Lingle-Fort Laramie put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Kimball Longhorns with points to spare, taking the game 66-51. The Doggers pushed the score to 60-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Longhorns cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Lingle-Fort Laramie to victory were Brody Roberts and Brady Cook. Roberts went 10-for-17 on his way to 25 points, while Cook almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Cook is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 44 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Arnusch, who posted eight points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Lingle-Fort Laramie pushed their record up to 20-0 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points over those games. As for Kimball, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lingle-Fort Laramie will square off against Guernsey-Sunrise at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kimball, they will head out to face off against Mitchell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
