Baseball Recap: Normangee Triumphs

Normangee proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Oakwood 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Normangee has posted since May 3, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Billy Makepeace, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Cashton Kubiak was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

Normangee pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Oakwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
