Basketball Recap: Kenston Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

On Thursday, the Kenston Bombers didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Woodridge Bulldogs, but they still walked away with a 61-57 win.

Kenston found their leader in sophomore Jackson Alotta, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Alotta. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Schurr, who posted six points.

Kenston was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Kenston's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Woodridge, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston will host Independence at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodridge, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Manchester at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Manchester's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
