Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Victory Christian Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the High Tech Mesa Thunder on Friday, falling 3-0. The Knights have struggled against the Thunder recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Brad Chier, who had 19 digs and 13 kills. Chier has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 30 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Esteban Torres, who had 28 assists and four digs.

Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 19-15. As for High Tech Mesa, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season.
