Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Seffner Christian

Seffner Christian waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Spoto Spartans as they made off with an 8-0 victory. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Rylan Rizzardi made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Rizzardi was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Camden McBane was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Peyton Silvey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

The win got Seffner Christian back to even at 8-8-1. As for Spoto, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Seffner Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grace Christian at 4:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Spoto, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-4 loss against Chamberlain on the 18th.
