Football Game Preview: Aurora Huskies vs. Lakeview Vikings

The Aurora Huskies will take on the Lakeview Vikings on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Aurora comes in on seven and Lakeview on ten.

Aurora is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Central City 42-21. Considering the Huskies have won five games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Wyatt Pollet continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 212 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 142 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. Those 212 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Aurora also got a significant boost from Ian Jensen, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Aurora was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 311 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 276 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Lakeview was able to grind out a solid victory over Boys Town on Friday, taking the game 21-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Cowboys are ranked 60th).

Lakeview's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Aurora, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
