Basketball Recap: Pathway Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tournament Opponent on Friday, Pathway Christian came back down to earth. The Pathway Christian Panthers took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tournament Opponent on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Loss or not, Pathway Christian got some senior leadership from Ryker Miller and Preston Yutzy. Miller dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards, while Yutzy dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Miller also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Pathway Christian is 9-4 when he posts at least three steals, but 4-7 otherwise. Denver Nelson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

Pathway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

Pathway Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-27 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 15th. Tournament Opponent has also already played their next game (against Lab University Prep Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
