Spring Valley had won two straight games and Kemri Schlegel did her part to make it three on Thursday. Everything went the Cardinals' way against the Glenwood City Hilltoppers as they made off with a 3-0 win for which the team can thank Schlegel, who had 18 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

While Spring Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

Glenwood City's loss came despite strong showings from Opal Voeltz and Tori Miller. Voeltz had 20 digs and one assist, while Miller had ten digs and two aces.

Spring Valley's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Glenwood City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-25.
