Union City came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Springport, but Dallas Higelmire wouldn't allow it. The Spartans strolled past the Chargers with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 58-41 thanks in part to Higelmire, who went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 47.4% field goal percentage.

Another player making a difference was Gibson Overweg, who posted four points and five boards. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

Springport's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Union City, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springport will welcome Stockbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Union City, they will host Maple Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
