Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freeland). They were the clear victor by a 78-55 margin over the Bridgeport Bearcats on Friday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Bearcats are ranked 574th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Freeland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wilson Huckeby led the charge by going 10 for 15 en route to 27 points. Tristan Comer was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Freeland is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Bridgeport, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Freeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-47 win against Alma on the 28th. Bridgeport has also already played their next contest, a 56-47 defeat against Frankenmuth on the 24th.
