Softball Recap: Santa Fe Christian Continues Home Dominance on Monday

There's no place like home for Santa Fe Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Vista Panthers by a score of 6-1 on Monday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 12-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Maddie Binnie, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Muscat, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Santa Fe Christian's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Vista, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe Christian will head out to face off against Morse at 4:00 p.m. on March 10th. As for Vista, they are taking a road trip to challenge Chula Vista at 3:30 p.m. on March 11th.
