Basketball Game Preview: Kingfisher Yellowjackets vs. Blanchard Lions

Kingfisher and Blanchard are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Kingfisher Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blanchard Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kingfisher is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Newcastle just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Racers.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 58 points the game before, Blanchard was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 26-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chickasha. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kingfisher's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Blanchard, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Everything went Kingfisher's way against Blanchard in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Kingfisher made off with a 47-26 win. Will Kingfisher repeat their success, or does Blanchard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
