Yates Center lost to Southern Coffey County back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Titans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Yates Center took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9.

Cayten Cummings paced Yates Center's offense, picking up seven kills. Cummings got some help from Madison Hall and her 11 assists. Cummings was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Yates Center's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Southern Coffey County, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Looking ahead, Yates Center will take on Maranatha Christian Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southern Coffey County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Altoona-Midway on the 23rd.
