Basketball Game Preview: Canton C-Hawks vs. West Central Trojans

Canton is 0-10 against West Central since February of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Canton C-Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the West Central Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Canton sitting on three straight wins and West Central on six.

On Saturday, everything came up roses for Canton against Madison as the team secured a 60-33 victory. The C-Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Central). They were the clear victor by a 69-43 margin over McCook Central/Montrose on Tuesday.

Canton pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for West Central, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Canton came up short against West Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 48-39. Can Canton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
