It was a proper cat-fight when East Chapel Hill challenged Carrboro on Wednesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 14-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won three in a row.

McKenna White spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She also put up two walks, which were her first of the season.

At the plate, Esha Kamath and Lauren Steiner did most of the damage at the plate: Kamath scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Steiner went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Steiner's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kay Silver, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

East Chapel Hill's record now sits at 4-5. As for Carrboro, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Chapel Hill will welcome Riverside-Durham at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carrboro, they will be playing at home against Durham Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
