Softball Recap: Benson Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Benson came into Friday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Mogollon Mustangs 14-3 on Friday.

Karris Taylor was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Millie Kellogg, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Benson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Benson's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Mogollon, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Benson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Dobson on the 21st. As for Mogollon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Santa Cruz Valley on the 21st.
