Newark Memorial came tearing into Wednesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Mission San Jose Warriors as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won three contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Fabian Guzman, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Julian Munoz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Newark Memorial's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
