Basketball Recap: Easton Munroe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Eastern Christian Homeschool

Gramercy Christian lost to Eastern Christian HomeSchool back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Warriors came out on top against the Trailblazers by a score of 63-53.

Gramercy Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Easton Munroe, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Those 17 points gave Munroe a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Bowling, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points.

Gramercy Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 17 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

The win got Gramercy Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gramercy Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Unity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 8.
