Basketball Recap: ALA - Ironwood Takes a Loss

ALA - Ironwood suffered their closest loss since December 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Benjamin Franklin Chargers by a score of 50-48. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-47 back in January.

Despite the loss, ALA - Ironwood still got an impressive performance from Noah Adkins, who posted 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Curtis Coplin was another key player, putting up six points.

It was another big night for Talan Speir, who went 5 for 9 to rack up 15 points in addition to eight boards and four steals for Benjamin Franklin. The dominant performance also gave Speir a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Jonathan Hall, who put up eight points and seven rebounds.

ALA - Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Benjamin Franklin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 24-3.

ALA - Ironwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-63 loss against Gilbert Christian on the 6th. As for Benjamin Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-31 win against Bourgade Catholic on the 6th.
