Baseball Recap: Hopewell Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Hopewell was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell just short of the Colonial Heights Colonials by a score of 3-2. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Colonials recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Hopewell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Colonial Heights, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hopewell will welcome J.R. Tucker at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
