Lanesville has gone 9-1 against Borden recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Braves at 5:00 p.m. Lanesville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Monday, Lanesville got the win against Christian Academy by a conclusive 13-7.

Makenna Mills made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Lanesville got a massive performance out of Madelyn Magner, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Magner is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Cheyenne Gunn also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Borden waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Cougars. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Braves have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Emma Hart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Alayna Martin was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was AJ Mallard, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Borden's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lanesville, their record now sits at 4-9.
Lanesville came out on top in a nail-biter against Borden in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
