Soccer Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe lost against McFarland back in October of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cheesemakers lost 4-0 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 164th, while McFarland are ranked 29th).

Monroe's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8-2. As for McFarland, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Coming up, Monroe will head out to face off against Platteville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for McFarland, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Waunakee at 12:00 p.m.
